We have ambitious growth plans

Since the organisation first started in January 2007, we have grown quickly.  What started out being run from the back of a car, is now a thriving social enterprise covering the whole of London. We have grown when other industries have struggled with the economic down-turn. But we are not complacent - we know that we need to keep working hard to develop our services.

As well as building on our core business, 2011 will see us develop into three areas:

  • One area we are focusing on is payment by results. Put simply, we want to be paid on what outcomes we produce. In simple terms, if we keep someone out of prison – and we have helped hundreds – then we want a share of the benefits. Not a large share but a share nevertheless. We want to work in prisons and to create a social franchise – to achieve our aim of full sustainability.
  • Another area we are looking into is supported housing, particularly for women. It is an area where we believe that we can add real value. We know that it could be challenging organisationally and we are collaborating with Penrose who are more experienced in this area.
  • Finally, we want to refurbish our own properties. Our service users are extremely keen, indeed many have skills and experience in this area. We want to harness this, taking on run-down properties, and turning them into houses and flats for them to live in. What better way to build self-esteem?
